BREAKING: 4-Star Recruit Announces Departure From Georgia Bulldogs Football Program; Top Prospect From Class Of 2025 Reopens Recruitment - REPORT - Gridiron Heroics

Four-star cornerback Tae Harris of Cedartown High School (Cedartown, Georgia) reopened his recruitment on Sunday morning, meaning the Georgia Bulldogs are without a commitment for the Class of 2025.

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Harris is ranked as the No. 27 cornerback and the nation’s No. 231 overall prospect for the Class of 2025. Harris had already committed to the Bulldogs in June of 2023.

But since making his commitment public, the 6-foot, 180-pound defender had not shied away from making trips overseas. Harris has visited Florida, LSU, and Tennessee during the course of the previous season and the first several months of this one.

Nevertheless, he recently made a clear statement about his status with the Bulldogs.

Just over two weeks ago, Harris told Jeremy Johnson of DawgsHQ, “It’s home.” “I enjoy working with coaches Will Muschamp and Kirby Smart. As a sophomore, they actively sought me out. Additionally, Coach Donte Williams is a competent coach.

The remark he had made to Johnson in August of last year was a recurring theme.

At that time, Harris remarked, “I just felt it there when my family and I went to Georgia. “Georgia is simply unique.” The manner in which they operate and carry out tasks correctly. My goal was to win, and I wanted to win quickly. I have a lot on my plate for the upcoming season, including trying to win the state championship. I was a good fit for Georgia. Their defensive back history was impressive, so I was eager to join them.

Tae Harris suffers as a result of coaching Carousel.

This offseason, though, the Georgia defensive backfield has seen a constant change in coaching, with Williams joining Travaris Robinson as co-defensive coordinator and Muschamp moving into an analyst position.

Regarding the choice to reopen his procedure, Harris told On3’s Chad Simmons, “I have been thinking about this for a while now.” “Since Fran Brown took over as coach, things have just not been going well at Georgia, so I would like to further investigate my options.” I’m now available to all schools.

Now that it appears there is a fresh list of colleges the four-star in-state defender is targeting, the Bulldogs will have to play from behind.

Harris said to Simmons, “I am now speaking with a bunch of colleges, including Clemson, Florida, LSU, Oklahoma, Tennessee, UCF, and Georgia Tech. “There are others; those are just a few. Many schools are currently vying for my enrollment.
