The Broncos wholly lose as they do not consider ideal of…..

Three quarterbacks the Broncos ought to think about pursuing in the off-season.

The Denver Broncos, who are poised to fire Russell Wilson after a dismal two-year tenure, will be among the teams looking for a quarterback this offseason.

Although Denver doesn’t have many enticing choices going into the summer due to financial constraints and the lack of a top-10 draft pick, the team may need to look in other places before finding a quarterback. The Broncos should think about pursuing the following three quarterbacks, who have different price points.

After the Bucs’ NFC divisional playoff defeat to Detroit, Mayfield told reporters that he “would love” to re-sign with the team; however, as the offseason goes on, maybe his thoughts may shift. Ultimately, the Bucs lost their former offensive coordinator Dave Canales, who was hired as Carolina’s head coach after helping to resurrect Mayfield’s and Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith’s careers during the previous two seasons.

Denver should make every effort to get the former first overall pick in the draft, Mayfield, should his departure cause him to take offers from other teams very seriously. After bouncing around the league in 2022, Mayfield eventually settled in the NFL with Tampa Bay, where he helped the team win its first playoff game and a division championship.

The Broncos may have to pay an uncomfortable but necessary price for Mayfield’s forthcoming contract, given the lavish deals that quarterbacks Derek Carr and Daniel Jones signed during the previous summer. If Wilson is released this offseason, Denver’s dire cap situation (-$23.7M predicted) will only worsen; that being said, there is still a way to free up enough cash to sign Mayfield. Over the Cap estimates that the Broncos can generate $112 million in cap space with maximum restructures and $48.3 million through simple contract restructures.

Denver’s best bet to improve at quarterback would be to choose higher in the 2024 NFL Draft, but its options will be constrained because it will have the 12th overall pick. The Broncos won’t be getting any of Caleb Williams,Drake  Maye, or Jayden Daniels until they make a trade, but there’s a chance Nix will still be available at their current selection position.

Although Nix isn’t a very exciting prospect, his background, arm talent, and sound decision-making abilities make him a less hazardous choice. Nix, 23, has started 61 games, more than any other player in college football history. As a rookie, he may challenge for Denver’s starting job.
