Is Chad Johnson interested in becoming an Eagles coach?
Chad Johnson, a former wide receiver and All-Pro who is now a television pundit, may be considering a second career move.
Johnson casually put himself out there on social media when he heard that the Philadelphia Eagles might be looking for a wide receivers coach.
The Eagles need to fill multiple roles this offseason, including wide receivers coach, whether Johnson is a real possibility or not. Despite a devastating late-season collapse, the team finally opted to stick with head coach Nick Sirianni, but not so for most of the crew that worked under him.
Both defensive coordinator Sean Desai and offensive coordinator Brian Johnson have already left the team. The Eagles appear to have selected a new offensive coordinator in addition to Vic Fangio, a former DC for the Miami Dolphins, who was brought in to oversee defense earlier this week.
The Eagles are bringing on former Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Chargers offensive coordinator Kellen Moore as their new playcaller, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The offense underperformed and finished 21st in the NFL during Moore’s one and only season with the Chargers. In four seasons in Arlington, though, the Cowboys offense performed a great deal better.
