Penei Sewell of the Detroit Lions, a former star of the Oregon Ducks, is scared while on a roller coaster.
Penei Sewell, a lineman for the Detroit Lions, is in Orlando, Florida this week for the NFL Pro Bowl Games.
The chance to visit one or more of the city’s numerous theme parks is one of the benefits of being chosen for the Pro Bowl Games. Sewell visited Universal Studios Islands of Adventure on Friday with teammate Jahmyr Gibbs. Gibbs and the former Oregon star made the decision to ride the “Jurassic Park’s VelociCoaster” attraction at the park.
The “VelociCoaster” is the “fastest and tallest launch coaster in Florida,” according to the park’s website. Riding at a top speed of 70 mph in just 2.4 seconds is the ride’s initial launch feature. A later feature of the attraction is “one of the most unusual aspects of the rollercoaster, a 155-foot tall “Top Hat” which gives you the impression that you are flying over Islands of Adventure before plummeting at an 80-degree angle 140 feet below.”
While Sewell seemed to have had fun on the ride, Gibbs was obviously not.
On the Lions’ social media post, Gibbs stated, “It wasn’t really my cup of tea.”
