Sheryl Swoopes’ incorrect digs at Caitlin Clark an example of old-fashioned player hatin
It’s undoubtedly a bad look for the 52-year-old legend Sheryl Swoopes, as her fact-free broadside against Iowa sensation Caitlin Clark went viral on social media last weekend.
Swoopes made the following claims while a guest on the YouTube program co-hosted by former NBA player Gilbert Arenas:
That 25-year-old Clark is abusing small children. (Her age is 22.)
that Clark attempts “roughly forty shots per game.” (She’s attempted 22.3 field goals this season and 19.7 overall; Swoopes averaged 24.9 during her two years at Texas Tech.)
that Clark’s impending shattering of the Division I score record isn’t legal because she is eligible for a fifth year because of COVID-19. (In less than four, Clark will shatter the record.)
