Commanders Star Is Expected to Sign a Deal with the Raiders of Las Vegas.
Numerous defensive players for the Washington Commanders are set to enter the free agency pool. In the 2024–25 season, Kendall Fuller, Kamren Curl, and other players will probably be on different clubs or will need to sign new contracts with the Commanders. PFF ranks Fuller as the best cornerback available, indicating that he is one of the best cornerbacks in the market. Brad Spielberger of PFF believes that the Las Vegas Raiders, who have many suitors, could be a possible destination.
According to Spielberger, Fuller is now the best cornerback available this offseason as a result of Jaylon Johnson and L’Jarius Sneed receiving franchise tags.
“Jaylon Johnson and L’Jarius Sneed’s franchise tags will mostly benefit Fuller, who will become the best cornerback available in free agency. After playing in at least 1,000 snaps for three seasons in a row with a 75.0 coverage grade, he is now seeking a third deal.
Kendall Fuller’s Predicted to Land $54 Million Deal
Fuller has a shot to get paid this offseason because he’s one of the best free agents available. Fuller’s 2023 salary with the Washington Commanders was only $8.5 million. That was very significant to the Commanders for his production. Predictably, Fuller will sign a four-year, $54.5 million contract with the Las Vegas Raiders or another team. He would be valued similarly to Cameron Sutton, James Bradberry, and Darius Slay under that arrangement.
The Raiders have $42 million in cap room, and it could be prudent to use a portion of that to get Fuller given that Jakorian Bennett underperformed in his rookie season, Nate Hobbs plagued with injuries, and Marcus Peters wasn’t good enough in 2023.
According to Raiders Wire’s Levi Damien, Fuller is the best available free agency safety that the Raiders should target.
In each of his full seasons since 2017, the seasoned cornerback has averaged around 12 pass breakups and three interceptions. and made a few pass breakups and an interception throughout the playoffs en route to winning the 2019 Super Bowl with the Chiefs. That production is quite steady. The kind that most clubs, including the Raiders, could definitely use.
