Breaking News….

Drake Maye is apparently a target of the New York Giants in the 2024 NFL Draft, although they are likely to lose him to a rival team.

According to a recent rumor, the Washington Commanders are equally as high on NFL Draft prospect Drake Maye of North Carolina as the New York Giants are, and they will prevent any chance of it happening.

Being selected with the sixth overall pick in the draft is a desirable position in most years. But the sixth spot is a frustrating place to be when the Giants need to upgrade at quarterback. Three players in the 2024 draft class are thought by football analysts to have the makings of franchise signal callers.

Regretfully, Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, and Caleb Williams might all go undrafted in the first three rounds of the draft. Williams is likely to go at No. 1, so the Giants need to trade into the top three if they intend to acquire Maye or Daniels.

New York Giants and Washington Commanders are both high on Drake Maye

According to SNY New York Giants insider Connor Hughes, Maye would be the team’s first pick if they were to make such a daring move. They’re high on, especially Maye, he wrote on Wednesday.

All indications, meanwhile, are that the Washington Commanders and New England Patriots will pass up the second and third picks, respectively. The Giants may be hoping that Washington, which has an abundance of cash to spend in free agency, takes a different route with their third-round selection and contracts a seasoned quarterback. However, given that the NFC East squad is a Maye supporter as well, that seems improbable.

After meeting with him at the NFL Combine, Mike Sando, the NFL reporter for The Athletic, stated earlier this week that Adam Peters, the new general manager of the Washington Commanders, is “really into” Maye. This means that they have a very good chance of drafting the North Carolina standout next month if he is still available at three, as is expected.
