It may be the end of Mac Jones. Might he be done with the Jacksonville too?

After the Patriots traded Mac Jones, everyone’s response was the same.

Mac Jones #10 of the New England Patriots reacts after a game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium on December 18, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Not very long ago, Trevor Lawrence was considered the best quarterback prospect since Peyton Manning by both NFL scouts and fans.

During his time in the league, he has displayed flashes of brilliance, particularly after Doug Pederson assumed leadership.

Though it was difficult to hold him responsible for anything that happened during Urban Meyer’s brief stay there, his first season wasn’t particularly remarkable.

However, since he didn’t really improve in his third year, some have begun to wonder if he will ever reach his full potential.

Naturally, the moment the Mac Jones trade became public, the skepticism only grew louder.

On Twitter, some people made predictions that Jones would replace Lawrence as the Jaguars’ starting quarterback.

Being a native of Jacksonville and a lifelong Jaguars supporter, Mac Jones will be driven to establish his eligibility for the team.

However, the Jaguars continue to show a strong commitment to the Clemson product, and they will use their top pick whenever possible.

With the supporting group he has there, Lawrence might be an MVP candidate. Besides, he dealt with ailments the previous season, so he wasn’t solely to blame for their late-season meltdown.

Maybe a little competition will help him reach his full potential. Although Jones didn’t contribute much during his time with the New England Patriots, he will be under a lot of pressure.
