It’s time to take a serious look at the 49ers’ desperate need for another last-second triumph.
If there was ever a definition for the term “all-in,” the Cowboys provided one in 2023. They started by re-signing a few of their own unrestricted free agents, including defensive end Dante Fowler Jr., quarterback Cooper Rush, safeties Malik Hooker and Donovan Wilson, defensive tackle Jonathan Hankins, and the crucial linebacker Leighton Vander Esch.
They added linebacker Rashaan Evans and running back Ronald Jones as insurance, signed cornerback Trevon Diggs to a long-term contract, and added former starting offensive tackle La’el Collins as postseason insurance. Terence Steele, a restricted free agent, had signed a long-term contract deal with them. $16 million was spent on Tony Pollard, the franchise running back.
