GOOD NEWS:Ten Hag can move Man Utd’s “wizard” to finally fire Mount……..
It may have gone unnoticed in the midst of the mayhem and excitement surrounding Manchester United’s thrilling 4-3 victory over Liverpool last week, but summer signing Mason Mount returned to the team after a protracted injury layoff, looking to make up for lost time after a miserable first season at Old Trafford.
The 25-year-old’s last known appearance was on Remembrance Day in November. Given his lackluster performance to date, it’s possible that some people were even unaware that he was a United employee.
With just 11 appearances overall since joining from Chelsea, the £65 million signing has only managed one assist and zero goals. It appears that he will follow in the footsteps of many others who left the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era, with rumors circulating that he may even be the “new Donny van de Beek.”
Nevertheless, it would be premature to write off the playmaker just yet, as Erik ten Hag might be able to eventually fire Mount in his starting lineup.
