Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys predicts quarterback Dak Prescott will play in the Super Bowl…..

Jerry said, “I think there are a handful or more of quarterbacks playing who haven’t won a Super Bowl that will win a Super Bowl,” according to David Moore of the Dallas Morning News. Dak seems like one of them to me. There, I stand by it. Among those who can is him.

Jerry is clearly confident in Dak Prescott because he is allocating a sizable portion of the team’s cap to the quarterback. Prescott’s 2024 cap hit is expected to exceed $55 million. Although he recently modified his contract in order to save the Cowboys $5 million this offseason, trusting in Dak may be the only path to success.

According to Gridiron Heroics, Dak is the Cowboys’ quarterback for the foreseeable future and most likely the long term. Because of the way his contract is written, the Cowboys can only move Dak or work out a long-term agreement and postpone dealing with the money.

Dak Prescott’s postseason record is 2–5. In Dallas, the Green Bay Packers were upset in his most recent defeat. Whether to move Dak’s contract forward and extend your commitment to him past 2025 (his present status) is a difficult question.

Jerry says, “There are a handful or more of quarterbacks playing who haven’t won a Super Bowl that will win a Super Bowl,” which suggests that Dak might be among the select few NFL quarterbacks who haven’t yet won a Super Bowl.

Only Russell Wilson, Matthew Stafford, Aaron Rodgers, and Patrick Mahomes are the active starting quarterbacks who have won a Super Bowl. Although he won, Joe Flacco will not start.

No Super Bowl victory has been achieved by Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts, Brock Purdy, or Lamar Jackson. The majority would argue that is the list of quarterbacks currently in action who “could” win a Super Bowl but haven’t. All of the quarterbacks on the list have advanced further than Dak in the playoffs (in their respective conferences).

Compared to Dak Prescott, all quarterbacks—winning and losing—have smaller cap hits. Deshaun Watson is the only quarterback with a bigger cap figure than Dak.
