BREAKING NEWS TODAY:Erik ten Hag target announces a future update while Kobbie Mainoo receives applause…….

Erik ten Hag will be hoping that every Manchester United player who has been playing for his country in recent days returns totally fit.

At Old Trafford, spirits are still quite high following the Red Devils’ 4-3 victory over rivals Liverpool in the FA Cup final match played before the international break, which ended with a last-gasp winner in extra time. Ten Hag’s team will now play Championship team Coventry City in the semi-final at Wembley.

Although United’s only remaining opportunity to win a trophy this season is in the FA Cup, Champions League qualification is still a possibility. The 13-time Premier League winners are now sixth in the standings, but it seems more likely that fifth place will be sufficient to guarantee a spot in the most prestigious league for club football in Europe.

The Red Devils trail Tottenham by six points, who are now in fifth place, one spot above them. Mirror Football has examined the most important stories coming out of Old Trafford.

On Saturday night, United’s teenage star Kobbie Mainoo earned his maiden senior England cap by playing against Brazil off the bench. For the eighteen-year-old, who only made his full Premier League debut in November, it was the latest in a remarkable rise.

Several of his teammates praised Mainoo for club and country after the match. “Special feeling making my senior England debut at Wembley and in front of my family,” the teenager wrote on Instagram. A moment I will always remember. We now recover and shift our attention to Tuesday.

Rice wrote in the comment area, amid a plethora of praise, “Many more to come! Well done, buddy.” The captain of United, Bruno Fernandes, remarked, “First of many,” while Harry Maguire added, “Deserved mate.”
