One alteration in the VFL team lineup for the Good Friday matchup……..

Only one player has changed from the VFL Senior Coach Josh Fraser’s team since they defeated Sandringham in Round One last week: John Noble has been promoted to the senior team in lieu of Oleg Markov.

Markov, who hasn’t played in the VFL since April of last year, will take on a major leadership role in the backline.

The rest of the team is the same as it was in the season-opening contest, which the Pies won 28 points to none.

The victory was largely down to the contributions of young players Harvey Harrison, Ed Allan, and Joe Richards. AFL Senior Coach Craig McRae was impressed with what he witnessed at Moorabbin.

The manner that Josh Fraser and the entire crew have put up our young players in the VFL has me completely enthralled, McRae stated on Tuesday.

They had a fantastic performance in Round One, and I was inspired both when I arrived and when I departed.

“Young athletes are performing at a higher level… (Harvey) Harrison, TJ (Tew Jiath), Ed Allan’s displaying some serious symptoms.

After strong debut performances for the Club, SSP recruits Lachie Sullivan (30 disposals) and Jack Bytel (26 disposals) will line up through the midfield once more. Ned Long, 21, will also line up there after recording an incredible 17 tackles last week.

Cooper Macdonald and Jedd Longmire, two VFL-listed players, will be the traveling emergencies for the tour to Queensland.
