Giants are celebrating their star victory against……..

Giants’ victory against the Eagles will provide them this small comfort.
4 things we learned from the Giants' 27-10 win over the Eagles - Big Blue View

Since the beginning of time, football teams that are not going to the playoffs have had coaches and players talk about playing their final few meaningless games for “pride.”

Thus, while the New York Giants could advance one spot in the draft order if they lose to the Philadelphia Eagles, who are 5.5-point favorites against the Giants, and if the Cardinals assist them against the Seahawks, don’t expect  team to alter any of his current practices, such as giving younger players more snaps to aid in their evaluation.

“I just try to do the best we can to prepare and play as good as we can to try to win a game,” he stated this past week. “Try to be consistent with it.”

There is always a chance that there will be some disagreement in the locker room about playing for pride, especially by those whose contracts expire after this season and who will be looking for new homes in 2024, especially with one game left and the players sore and, to some extent, frustrated by how the 2023 season has played out.

However, Daboll doesn’t appear overly bothered about the situation where he needs to remind players of their employment.

He answered, “That’s what those guys are.” “They’re pros, and we got to try to have a good week and do as we can to go out there and play well.”

The Giants will finish with a 3-3 record against division opponents if they defeat the Eagles, which is a huge improvement over their 1-4-1 record from the previous season. The bitter taste of a once-promising Giants season gone awry would be somewhat mitigated if the Eagles, who have beaten the Giants in their last five meetings (including the Divisional playoff game last year), prevail.g
