Leads the Rams in sacks possessed by Kobie Turner.
Throughout the course of the 2023 regular season, Turner recorded 57 tackles (29 solo), 9.0 sacks, and two passes defensed in 17 games.
Only twice in his debut season did Turner participate in more than 80% of the defensive snaps; however, he tied the Rams rookie record with 9.0 sacks. The man he shares the record with these days? Nobody else except Aaron Donald, a future Hall of Famer. Turner, a third-round selection in 2022, will likely use Bobby Brown as his backup at nose tackle as he looks to build on a fantastic rookie campaign.
Turner played in the Rams’ 30-22 victory over the Saints, recording a sack and a tackle for a loss.
With three total tackles, the nose tackle finished. Additionally, Turner participated in 62% of the defensive plays. This season, the youngster has racked up 52 tackles, including 6.5 sacks, and two passes defensed.
The Rams selected Turner with the 89th overall pick in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Turner, a 293-pound interior defensive lineman who went uninvited to the combine, is a 24-year-old rookie who played for five years at Richmond before making a splash at Wake Forest. Turner is too little to play the nose, but he might become a Los Angeles defensive end regular.
