Nigerian-qualified Tosin Adarabioyo, the England-born center defender for Fulham, is attracting interest from a number of domestic and international teams, according to Soccernet.ng.
This season, Tosin, 26, has appeared in fifteen of Fulham’s twenty-nine Premier League games, starting thirteen of them and scored one goal.Along with Calvin Bassey, the former Manchester City defender has started the last five games for the Cottagers in an attempt to block Bernd Leno’s goal. They have won two clean sheets and four of the previous five games.
Adarabioyo was born to Nigerian parents in Manchester. The last of three children is Tosin. His two siblings play football as well.
His next brother, Fisayo, retired in 2021 after playing for Ashton United, while his oldest brother, Gbolahan, is his agent. The Manchester City academy produced the three brothers.
Adarabioyo has represented England in youth competitions, but he has not yet been called up to the national squad. He could also decide to move teams and play for the Super Eagles.
“I can represent Nigeria or England in sports. The defender stated to Lancanshaire Telegraph in 2020, “I think I should be going to the next World Cup, either with England or Nigeria. That’s my target.”
Ange Postecoglu is reportedly being pursued by Tottenham Hotspur, Olympique De Marseille, Liverpool, and AC Milan. This information was reported by Daily Mail.
Joel Matip, whose contract is set to expire in the summer, is an aging player whom Liverpool is trying to replace. Tottenham needs Tosin to offer more stability because they are short on choices at the back due to the loss of Eric Dier to Bayern Munich and Christian Romero’s injury issues.
Similar to Tosin, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey play for the London club and could have chosen to play for England, but they chose to represent Nigeria.
