While the team has carried on on the track where they left off in 2023, off the track things have not gone as planned for 2024 since the team principal Christian Horner’s probe has eclipsed the racing activity.

Red Bull GmbH conducted an internal inquiry regarding Horner’s suspected “inappropriate behavior” toward female coworker, following which Horner was absolved of any misconduct in Bahrain.

The issue resurfaced due to a leaked document that purportedly contained messages from the 50-year-old. Since then, there have been rumors that Helmut Marko may also be suspended, a falling out between Verstappen’s father Jos and the team manager, and a suspension for Horner’s accuser.

The rumors surrounding Marko have led to suspicion that if he goes, Max Verstappen may also leave the company. However, Mintzlaff has stated that Red Bull must continue to succeed in racing.
