Caitlin Clark Sends Heartfelt Message to Young Girls

Caitlin Clark, whose influence on women’s basketball may surpass that of “I want to be like Mike” in the eyes of young girls, appropriately delivered an empowering speech on Monday, April 15, in advance of the 2024 WNBA draft.

“Have big dreams and don’t listen to people who tell you that you can’t.” However, you have to put in the work and earn it,” Clark stated in a Monday-released video.

As the all-time best scorer in the NCAA, Clark rose to fame in the last few years while playing basketball at Iowa. After a standout career with the Hawkeyes, she is projected to go first overall to the Indiana Fever in the draft.

After writing down her objectives in the second grade, Clark’s endeavour really took off. The product of Des Moines, Iowa, progressed through the youth basketball ranks and outperformed expectations as a player for Iowa.

Play in the WNBA and get a basketball scholarship, Clark advised the “TODAY” Show.

Clark made it through the scholarship portion, and the WNBA is next. She doesn’t believe that success at the next level is inevitable, even though she was supreme at Iowa.

Clark remarked, “I hope my game translates to the next level. I’ll have good veterans around me to lean on.”

The Paris Summer Olympics in 2024 are yet another possible ambition for Clark. In the upcoming weeks, Team USA will finalise their lineup.

“That was like one of my childhood dreams.” “You aspire to win an Olympic gold medal at all times,” Clark stated.

She will first need to assist in improving a Fever team that finished 13–27 in 2023.
