Will Bill Belichick Retire From Coaching After Missing Out on Atlanta Falcons Gig?.
Following his rejection from the Atlanta Falcons head coaching position, Bill Belichick’s future in the NFL is very much in doubt. Having said that, a lot of supporters are inquiring: Is this the end for the renowned coach?
That’s not simple to answer. But before NFL fans see Belichick on the sidelines once more, they may have to wait a while.
Bill Belichick Continues to Desire to Lead,
It seems doubtful that Belichick will get a head coaching position at this time, as the NFL has already filled a number of head coaching positions. Moreover, the Falcons were the only team to show any real interest in him; even they chose to take a different route and sign Raheem Morris in his place.
Having said that, it’s reasonable to assume that Belichick won’t be coaching when the 2024 season begins.
Nevertheless, it seems that Belichick has no intention of retiring from the game just yet. Knowing full well that this would be his final coaching position in the NFL, he will exercise patience in his search for a new position. Not to add that when he takes over a team, the seasoned head coach is supposed to be selective about his alternatives and to demand complete control. According to Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports, he’s ready to wait and try again in 2025 for that.
As absurd as it may seem, Bill Belichick is not expected to be an NFL coach in 2024. This will be Belichick’s first season without an NFL franchise since the 1974 campaign.
However, insiders advise CBS Sports not to write out the GOAT for 2025. Belichick still feels that he should be on the sidelines. It’s simply that he has to do it his way.
Considering that Belichick is one of the greatest coaches in NFL history, it’s highly possible that an opportunity will come knocking at him. So, it only makes sense for him to be patient.
If an NFL team even struggles in 2024 and decides to fire their head coach, Belichick would likely be a strong candidate for the role. He’s well-respected around the league, and his body of work speaks for himself–even though his last few years with the New England Patriots aren’t that great.
