A legendary tribute is on the way! The Los Angeles Lakers have announced that Crypto.com Arena will be renamed ‘Mamba Arena’ to honor the late, great Kobe Bryant.
The decision comes after years of fan requests to permanently enshrine Kobe’s legacy at the Lakers’ home court. The official name change will take effect next season, with a massive mural, new black-and-gold court designs, and a special ‘Mamba Forever’ jersey patch for all Lakers players.
“This is for Kobe, for his family, and for every Lakers fan who loved him,” said team owner Jeanie Buss.
