When it comes to upgrading and covering offensive roster gaps, the Denver Broncos must set clear priorities.
With six picks in the 2024 NFL draft, a projected $30 million salary cap, and the potential to part ways with Russell Wilson, the Denver Broncos will have little room to upgrade their roster.
The Broncos will therefore need to prioritize which spots they address during the summer. Even if Denver needs to cover a lot of ground, it might not be able to do it by 2024.
Therefore, it makes sense to determine which positions should be prioritized. Examining the present roster, the players that the Broncos anticipate returning in 2024, and those they anticipate trading or cutting is necessary.

The Broncos will need to find a new quarterback since it is likely that they will split ways with Wilson, even if it would be devastating in terms of cap and money. Denver cannot rely solely on Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci going into 2024.
The Broncos should take a quarterback, but it’s likely that the top three prospects will go inside the first five picks, and no one will be ready to trade down from those spots.
But at some point, it makes sense to choose a quarterback. While it is a possibility, adding a veteran shouldn’t take the place of not drafting someone.
Javonte Williams, Samaje Perine, and Jaleel McLaughlin will all be back for the Broncos. Denver doesn’t instantly need to replace any of them because they all contributed strengths to the run game.
Although Williams and Perine are nearing the end of their contracts, it should not be too difficult to find replacements by 2025. In order to replace Williams, the Broncos may always draft a running back, and backs like Perine are routinely available in free agency.
