Djeidi Gassama starts for Sheffield Wednesday against Norwich; predicted starting lineup and injury news…

This is the starting lineup we believe Sheffield Wednesday will use against Norwich City on tomorrow night.

Sheffield Wednesday, who secured a courageous three points against QPR the previous game, will be aiming to win back-to-back games for the first time in a month.

At Loftus Road, Djeidi Gassama emerged victorious, providing the Owls with a single margin of safety.

With time running out quickly as the final five games of the season draw near, Wednesday could eventually escape the relegation zone if they can stun the Canaries.

However, Danny Rohl will need to make the right team selections if they want to climb the standings because Norwich can be a lot stronger opponent than the one they played earlier.

David Wagner’s team is four points clear of the play-off spots after winning four of their previous five Championship games.

This is our anticipated XI.

Two changes from the team that beat QPR

James Beadle‘s position in the starting line-up has gone relatively undisturbed since joining on loan, having picked up six clean sheets in 14 starts for Sheffield Wednesday.

The goalkeeper retains his place in the team ahead of his return to Brighton next month.

Pol Valentin will lose his starting position at right-back to Dominic Iorfa, who established himself there against QPR. Bambo Diaby, Michael Ihiekwe, and Akin Famewo have all performed well enough to maintain the same backline.

The only way the defense is expected to alter is if Marvin Johnson and Di’Shon Bernard, whose exact comeback dates are still unknown, get well from their injuries.

In the middle, Barry Bannan and Liam Palmer occupy two spots, however Will Vaulks might replace Michael Smith. The Owls should strengthen their midfield as they prepare to take on a far more formidable Norwich squad.

Josh Windass’ experience and goal scoring record may cause him to overtake Anthony Musaba for a position on the left, while Ian Poveda’s injury will force the worthy Djeidi Gassama to take his place.

Ike Ugbo, who hasn’t scored a goal in seven games, begins up front.
