YOU’RE THE WOST COACH I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH INDIANA PLAYER SAY’S TO C……….

Retail industry expert Matt Powell weighed in on the matter, expressing his hope that the shoe will be tailored specifically for women. He emphasized the importance of considering the anatomical differences between men’s and women’s feet, stating:

“Many women’s performance basketball shoes are simply a sized-down men’s product.” Powell pointed out that a woman’s foot is more triangular, with a higher arch, while a man’s foot is more rectangular in shape. Therefore, he believes that a shoe designed for a man’s foot may not be suitable for a woman’s foot.

In line with this perspective, Powell urged Nike to steer away from the idea of a unisex shoe and instead focus on showcasing leadership in women’s basketball. He emphasized that this decision should not be solely driven by potential sales revenue, as he stated, “Nike is never going to make any of this ($28 million) up in shoe sales. This is all about marketing and being associated with her, and sharing in her success.”

Furthermore, Powell emphasized the opportunity for Nike to demonstrate genuine leadership in women’s basketball by creating a shoe that is properly shaped for a woman’s foot. This approach aligns with the increasing recognition of the unique needs and preferences of female athletes in the sports industry.
