ESPN Report: In his 17th NHL season, Quick ranks second in career wins (388) and fourth in games played (774) among United States-born goaltenders, according to the Rangers.

Rangers’ Jonathan Quick will sign a one-year contract extension.

The New York Rangers announced on Sunday that goalie Jonathan Quick, a three-time Stanley Cup winner, has reached an agreement to extend his contract by one year.

The NHL Network said that the contract was for $1,275,000 in total.

In 21 games (20 starts) this season, Quick, 38, has a 13-5-2 record, two shutouts, a 2.45 goals-against average, and a.916 save percentage. The Connecticut native shared the 2022–23 season between the Los Angeles Kings, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Vegas Golden Knights before joining the Rangers for his rookie season.

On March 1, 2023, the Columbus Blue Jackets acquired him along with two draft picks from the Kings in exchange for goaltender Joonas Korpisalo and defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov.

The next day, the Blue Jackets dealt Quick to the Golden Knights for goaltender Michael Hutchinson and a seventh-round choice in the 2025 NHL Draft. On July 1, he inked a $825,000, one-year contract with the Rangers.

In terms of shutouts (57), save percentage (minimum 70 games played) at.911, and goaltender wins (370), Quick leads the Kings all-time. He served as the team’s goalie throughout its two Stanley Cup victories (2012) and (2014). He was also a part of the Golden Knights’ Stanley Cup-winning squad the previous year.
