ESPN Reports: Another Mega Star Commits To Wisconsin Badgers…

Wisconsin Football Transfer Named ‘Player With Most to Prove’ by ESPN.

One of the most significant additions for the Wisconsin Badgers football program this offseason was securing the services of Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke in the transfer portal.

Van Dyke brings a wealth of experience with him to Madison, having led the Miami Hurricanes for the past three seasons. During this time, Van Dyke showcased his talent by completing 63.7% of his passes, amassing 7,469 yards, 54 touchdowns, and 23 interceptions in 28 career starts.

His standout year was in 2021 as a redshirt freshman when he impressed NFL scouts by passing for 2,931 yards and a remarkable 25-6 touchdown-to-interception ratio under then-offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee.

However, since then, Van Dyke has been striving to rediscover his 2021 form, playing under a different offensive coordinator each season to varying degrees of success.

Now, Wisconsin football offers him a fresh start. While the Badgers had a decent performance at quarterback last season with Tanner Mordecai, the addition of Van Dyke adds depth to the position and the possibility of an improved passing game in year two of the air raid.

Head coach Luke Fickell and offensive coordinator Phil Longo sought an experienced option to plug and play this season, and Van Dyke fits the bill.
