Ole Miss Wins a thriller at home against the Lady Vols’.

OXFORD, Miss. The Ole Miss Rebels women’s basketball team defeated the Tennessee Volunteers 80-75 on Sunday afternoon in the Sandy and John Black Pavilion to cap off a fantastic weekend. With the victory, the Rebels (15-5, 5-2 SEC) move up to the third rank in the SEC standings, ahead of the Lady Vols (12-7, 5-2 SEC). Guard Marquesha Davis led Ole Miss in scoring on Sunday with 23 points, and forwards Kharyssa Richardson (21), Madison Scott (15), and guard Kennedy Todd-Williams (12) all scored in double figures.

Following a 6-0 surge to begin the third quarter, Ole Miss broke a tie with Tennessee at the half. The Rebels never looked back after that, and two crucial buckets from Davis and Todd-Williams allowed them to stave off the Lady Vols’ ultimate comeback attempt.
