Dan Pitcher, Offensive Coordinator, Cincinnati Bengals.

Dan Pitcher, the quarterbacks coach for the Cincinnati Bengals, has been formally elevated to the role of offensive coordinator.

The next year, in 2019, he was an assistant quarterbacks coach for head coach Zac Taylor. He was elevated to the position of quarterbacks coach the next year, and he was just elevated to offensive coordinator.

“I’m excited for Dan and his opportunity to grow his involvement on our staff,” Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said via Pro Football Talk. In the last five years, he has been a master in developing our quarterbacks. He has made significant contributions to our plan, and he will now play a bigger part. I’m excited to watch him develop even more in this new role.

Pitcher said, “I couldn’t be more delighted and energized by this chance,” as he expressed his thanks. I adore this group and am incredibly appreciative of Duke Tobin, Zac Taylor, Mike Brown, and the families of Blackburn and Brown. It means the world to me that they think I’m qualified for this role, and I’ll do everything in my power to add as much value as I can to this team.

Despite receiving attention from other teams for the same role, the recently named offensive coordinator decided to stay with the Bengals.

The Bengals’ standout quarterback added, “Our bond is as good as it gets.” Without him, I wouldn’t be the player I am today. He has spent years getting ready for this. He works extremely hard and passionately at what he does.
