Fewer Crowds, Cooler Temperatures: Holland America to Sail Late-Season Europe Cruises

Holland America Line is set to extend its European cruise season with new late-season itineraries, offering travelers the chance to explore iconic destinations with fewer crowds and more comfortable weather.

Starting this year, the cruise line will sail through Europe well into the fall months, with voyages stretching into late October and even November. This strategic shift caters to travelers seeking a more relaxed and intimate experience, far from the peak-season hustle and bustle.

“We’ve seen increasing demand for off-peak travel, where guests can enjoy Europe’s cultural landmarks and scenic beauty without the summer rush,” said a spokesperson for Holland America. “Cooler temperatures and quieter ports make for an ideal vacation.”

The late-season itineraries will include stops in Mediterranean gems like Rome, Barcelona, and Athens, as well as Northern European favorites such as Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and the Norwegian fjords. Guests can expect rich cultural experiences, seasonal cuisine, and stunning autumnal landscapes along the way.

With this move, Holland America is reinforcing its commitment to flexible and guest-centered cruising options—offering a new way to see Europe without the crowds, but with all the elegance the line is known for.
