Player’s agents were pushing Nottingham Forest move – Never offered enough, he needed convincing

Omar Marmoush’s potential move to Nottingham Forest was being pushed by his agents, with the player never particularly keen.
That’s according to Frankfurter Rundschau, who cover the striker’s decision to stay with Eintracht Frankfurt and how it came about.
They report that Marmoush’s decision to remain with the German side on deadline day has made everyone at the German club happy.
They’re delighted that they’ve managed to keep the Egyptian international, who was their ‘absolute top performer’ last season with 17 goals to his name. The fact that his decision to stay was only announced on Friday, though, shows how close he was to leaving.
Sports director Markus Krösche would have agreed to sell to them at the right price, but they never met Frankfurt’s €35m demands.
The player ‘didn’t really warm’ to the idea of the move either. He’d prefer to wait and potentially join one of the ‘heavyweights’ in England. He doesn’t see Nottingham Forest as one of them.
It was his management that were pushing for the transfer to happen. They, though, were unable to convince their client and he decided to stay in Frankfurt for at least another year.
