Manly offers an update on the injured studs.
Five of the Manly Sea Eagles’ stars have updated their injuries in advance of Friday night’s match against St George.
Jake Trbojevic is recovering nicely from a calf injury he sustained against the Raiders three weeks ago, which kept him out of the State of Origin.
The forward has resumed control running on the pitch, despite not having returned to full-contact training.
Ben, his brother, is recuperating nicely from a hamstring strain as well. The utility player sustained a grade 2 hamstring injury in that same game against the Raiders. He is getting closer to making a comeback, but the team has not yet disclosed a return date.
Aaron Woods, a veteran with a fractured wrist, resumed non-contact team training this week and is anticipated to play the following week as scheduled.
Likewise with Kelma Tuilagi. As he recovers from a face fracture, the former Tiger should be ready to play in a few weeks.
Not all is positive, though, as Brad Parker will be sidelined for the next four to six weeks, according to the Manly camp. In Round 13, Parker was injured with a fractured elbow while playing the Knights.
