Top QB Making Comparisons to Ben Roethlisberger.

Pittsburgh Could Ben Roethlisberger be Drake Maye’s successor? A top quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft, according to one NFL analyst, is comparable to the legendary Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback. Maye is anticipated to be the next quarterback selected, after Caleb Williams of USC. However, ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky thinks he has the potential to be the first passer selected and predicts that the player who chooses Maye would receive the next Big Ben.

Top QB Drawing Ben Roethlisberger Comparisons

“I called a lot of Drake’s games in college, and he’s Big Ben to me. He is,” Orlovsky said on the Pat McAfee Show. “The kid is 6-foot-5,, 230 now and could put on 20 pounds easily. He’s one of those athletes that when you watch him move, you’re just like, he’s a little bit not refined, he’s sloppy mechanically at times, but he is a freak. You can’t teach the stuff that Big Ben had, can’t teach the stuff Josh (Allen) has.” The Steelers won’t be able to get their hands on Maye unless they’re looking to make a major splash and trade into the top two picks. They could help the Chicago Bears or Washington Commanders land him by being on the receiving end of a Justin Fields trade. That first or second pick seems like the landing spot for the North Carolina star. The Steelers will just hope they have the secret formula for being a Big Ben-like whenever they have to play him.
