Collingwood has three new deals announced.
Three players have re-signed with Collingwood for the future: ruckman Darcy Cameron, midfielders Patrick Lipinski and Finlay Macrae, and midfielder Patrick Lipinski.
Due to their upcoming free agency, Lipinski and Macrae will join the group of players the team has not signed for 2025—a year in which Cameron has already signed.
Lipinski’s services will remain with the Magpies until the end of 2027 thanks to a three-year agreement he signed.
Cameron and Macrae have both signed one-year extensions.
Collingwood football and leadership manager Brendon Bolton said in a club release, “We’re happy to have Patrick, Finlay, and Darcy extend their contracts with the Club.”
“Patrick has demonstrated a strong commitment to honing his skill and has been a valuable member of our team.
“Over the past few years, Finlay has demonstrated a strong commitment to his continued development and has made significant progress.
“Since joining our team in 2019, Darcy has demonstrated remarkable progress in his skills and has played a vital role as a ruck in addition to being a valuable target in front of goals.
“We’re eager to watch these three players develop as players in 2024 and beyond.”
The onballer, who played 40 games for the black and white, including the grand final of the previous season, Lipinski came to the Magpies from the Western Bulldogs during the 2021 trade window.
Cameron, a 2023 Collingwood premiership player at his second club, has been a key ruck option for the Magpies over the last four seasons after joining from Sydney.
After making twelve appearances in the previous three seasons, Macrae, a developing midfielder, is about to begin his fourth season with Collingwood.
When the club plays Sydney at the MCG on Friday night in Round 1, Macrae will be trying to get into Craig McRae’s lineup.
