Helena Pueyo is climbing the program record books while chewing up minutes for Arizona basketball, a team with a weak roster.
Head coach of Arizona women’s basketball Adia Barnes stated that she frequently anticipates guard Helena Pueyo, a fifth year player, to be able to play four positions.
However, she discovered a new one for her on Sunday: the bench.
Barnes rested Pueyo for the final several minutes of Arizona’s (11-10, 3-6) 96-64 defeat to No. 6 Stanford in the fourth quarter.
The Spaniard plays 34.6 minutes a night on average.
