It may be the end of Roston Chase’ season. Might he be done with the West Indies too?

Important wounds won’t discourage tenacious Windies: Chase

The son of West Indies great Shivnarine Chanderpaul displayed great bravery as he scored his first Test half-century after absorbing a hard blow early in the first innings.

The West Indies lacked depth at the batting position generally, although Chase (55), Alzarri Joseph (43), and others showed bravery in the face of a lower-order comeback in the second innings.

Starting on Thursday, the second Test will be a day-night match in Adelaide, and Chase is hoping for a more balanced performance.

“Once the other batters take a leaf out of the openers’ (books), we’ll be a force to be reckoned with in the second Test,” Chase stated.

“After observing the bowlers’ technique, we will improve our performance in the second Test by completing our assigned job.
