A tribute to traditional handcrafted alcoholic beverages, this 120-proof unaged whiskey

Jan. 11, 2024, GATLINBURG, Tenn. /PRNewswire/ — Today, Sugarlands Distilling Company revealed Mark and Digger’s Mountain Legacy Corn Whiskey, the newest addition to their collection of handcrafted spirits that has won numerous awards. Beginning on Friday, January 26, at the Sugarlands distillery in downtown Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and shortly after at merchants around the country, is the new unaged corn whiskey.

Produced in association with Mark Ramsey and Eric “Digger” Manes, the prominent cast members of the popular television series Moonshiners, Mark and Digger’s Mountain Legacy Corn Whiskey pays tribute to traditional handcrafted alcoholic beverages that were formerly abundant in secrecy throughout North America. Made from a classic mash bill with corn from Mark and Digger’s home state of Tennessee, Mark and Digger’s Mountain Legacy Corn Whiskey is an unaged, 120-proof whiskey.

Mark and Digger will be in Sugarlands’ Gatlinburg distillery, which is at 805 Parkway, on Friday, January 26, and Saturday, January 27, from 2 to 5 p.m. to celebrate the release.

“Digger and I have been refining this recipe for years, and it is the basis for our new Mountain Legacy Corn Whiskey,” stated Ramsey. “Many of the old backwoods liquor makers taught us the art of brewing whiskey, and we’re pleased to collaborate with Sugarlands to make this traditional corn whiskey available to everyone.”

Manes clarified, “This is a tried and genuine backwoods liquor recipe.” “Every jar has good ol’ fashioned authenticity—no fancy frills.”

The first two products Sugarlands has released in association with Ramsey and Manes are Mark & Digger’s Rye Apple Moonshine in 2015 and Mark & Digger’s Hazelnut Rum in 2017. Mountain Legacy Corn Whiskey is the third product. Ramsey and Manes frequently stop by Sugarlands’ Gatlinburg distillery to visit and make spirits.
