Tigers depending on pitchers prone to injuries and inexperienced hitters in 2024
DETROIT: My father mentioned my early coverage of the Detroit Tigers to me a few days ago as we were having a conversation.
“This year, you’ve really got me sipping the Kool-Aid.”
You should be aware of one thing about my dad: He naturally drinks Kool-Aid. At the beginning of a Detroit or Michigan season, it doesn’t take much to get him hopeful.
Nevertheless, it made me wonder, “Do I need to ease up a little bit?”
I looked back as a result. I have said that the Tigers’ starting rotation “may be quite good” on several occasions in the last ten days. The bullpen is a “hidden weapon,” in my opinion. I analyzed the Tigers’ chances of winning the AL Central Division, emphasizing Parker Meadows’ potential.
Alright, perhaps this calls for a reality check.
To be honest, I am a little excited about the forthcoming season. Perhaps it’s because, after following the greatest Lions team of my life for the last four months, I figure that anyone can succeed if they can.
Alternatively, perhaps this lineup simply excites you more in contrast. Let’s be honest: Tigers baseball has not been very good over the past eight years.
I won’t, however, predict the Tigers to win the AL Central despite all the hype. If they did, it wouldn’t surprise me, but I don’t anticipate it. I want to ensure that my coverage accurately represents that.
