A’JA Wilson hopes to break the “glass ceiling” in the WNBA.
This upcoming season, A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces aim to win a third consecutive WNBA championship.
The two-time MVP claims that having top-notch team facilities has been beneficial and gives them a competitive edge over other WNBA teams. The Aces, owned by Mark Davis of the Las Vegas Raiders, established their unique training facility and headquarters in Henderson, Nevada, last summer, right next to the Raiders’ performance complex.
It marked the first time in the league’s 28-year history that a facility was constructed solely to be used by a WNBA team. Wilson encourages other owners around the league to also make the spend to uplift not only their clubs, but the league overall.
Wilson, who won a national title at the University of South Carolina, joined the show to discuss her new book, her missing out on the NIL era and the wave of investment coming into the WNBA.
