The Detroit Lions’ incredible season came to an end against San Francisco, losing 34–31, and being one win away from their first Super Bowl appearance. However, their 2023 rebirth will live on.
We now know where the team will pick in each round of the 2024 NFL draft, which will take place in downtown Detroit from April 25–27. That means there will be another opportunity to celebrate the Lions.
The Baltimore Ravens’ upset victory and the Lions’ loss propel the former to the No. 29 overall pick in the first round on draft night. Due to the Chiefs’ inferior regular season record than Detroit’s, they would have selected thirty-first had Kansas City lost.
Due to the T.J. Hockenson deal, the Lions will have seven selections overall, with the 29th pick in each round. They will have two picks in Round 3 but none in Round 4.

The national champion Michigan football team will have a wide range of players available for the Lions to choose from. In 2021, they drafted Aidan Hutchinson of Michigan at No. 2 overall.
Chicago, a division foe, has the top overall pick (via Carolina).
