At this point, I think it’s safe to assume that Tee Higgins will never be a Cincinnati Bengal again.!

Before Ja’Marr Chase, who may leave the Bengals in free agency, refers to Tee Higgins as “the best wing man I’ve ever had,”

With Higgins poised to hit free agency and Chase awaiting a large contract extension to remain in Cincinnati, the formidable wide receivers for the Bengals may find themselves on different clubs come football season. Higgins, meanwhile, is vital to the Bengals’ heart and soul and is someone they would not take well to lose, according to many of the team’s important players.

Star quarterback Joe Burrow stated that “we all want Tee back” at a press conference, citing the fact that “he’s what being a Bengal is all about.” In black and orange, head coach Zac Taylor continued, “It’s hard to fathom life without Tee Higgins.”

Chase is now adding his voice to the chorus of admirers of Higgins.

Regarding their partnership, Chase told Business Insider, “He’s actually the best wing man I’ve had.”

Higgins has stated unequivocally that he would want to go back to Cincinnati as opposed to going unsigned this spring. He said to Business Insider that one of the biggest draws is having a quarterback like Burrow who “makes things easy for us.”

Naturally, the 6-foot-4 Clemson recruit relishes playing next to Chase. The all-star receiving duo inevitably divides the focus of the opposition’s defense, giving both wideouts a little bit more room to maneuver on any given snap than they might otherwise have.

“I have never collaborated with a player as influential as he is,” Higgins stated to Business Insider. It’s my initial experience. It’s amazing to watch what he does on the field, and sometimes it’s just like, Man.”

There’s a good reason for Chase to keep playing with Higgins. However, following the Bengals’ season-ending game, the three-time Pro Bowler refrained from pledging to accept a lower contract extension to allow the organization to pay Higgins in addition.

Higgins is confident in his wingman’s commitment, despite this.

“Just as I got his back, he got mine,” Higgins said to Business Insider.
