According to a source earlier today, Konnor McClain is feeling great and has totally recovered from her injury.

Gymnast Konnor McClain of LSU suffered a catastrophic loss at the US Core Hydration Gymnastics Classics that shocked the gymnastics community. The 19-year-old LSU Tiger had to withdraw from the competition due to a severe fall that left her needing to be wheeled off.

With 59.5 points, Simone Biles won the Core Hydration Gymnastics Classics 2024 all-around competition. Jordan Chiles and Shilese Jones came in second and third, with 57.65 and 55.45 points, respectively. Conversely, Konnor McClain, who the LSU coach revealed to be a “Olympic hopeful,” was unable to make the cut.

Following his victory in the NCAA Championship this year, McClain was a highly optimistic and prospective candidate at Hartford. It seems that following an incredible 14.2 on the beam,

McClain had a back ailment so bad she had to have surgery in order to miss the 2022 World Championship. She was not only physically but mentally impacted by this health deficiency. She rediscovered her confidence and love for the game when she made a comeback at the 2024 NCAA Championships and led LSU to victory. “I feel like I’ve changed entirely; I have a completely different outlook on life, and I feel like I’m brighter now, like there’s a light in me,” the speaker said.

She was in third place after the balancing beam and had a good chance of finishing the competition strong. But the optimistic, gifted 19-year-old was not given the chance.
