Sam Luckley and Elliot Minchella’s injuries have been updated by Hull KR coach Willie Peters before of Saturday’s Challenge Cup semi-final matchup against Wigan Warriors.
The Robins’ 20-8 loss to Warrington Wolves on Thursday was attributed to injuries to prop Luckley (wrist) and skipper Minchella (groyne).
However, Peters gave a positive injury update on the forward pair during his pre-match news conference ahead of Saturday’s Challenge Cup semi-final in Doncaster against Super League champions Wigan.
Peters said, “Sam’s okay.” We may need to take a closer look at it later in the year because there seems to be a small problem there. “Mini is moving forward. He didn’t complete the entire training session yesterday, but he hopes to accomplish more tomorrow. We have some depth at forward, so there are some major calls surrounding them. Tom Opacic will undoubtedly be given another chance, and as he has already completed work for us, there is no reason to doubt that he will do so once again. Apart from that, the selections made by the side have been quite consistent.
