Zack Taylor discusses how to reconcile getting ready for the game with honouring Nick Folk.
Nick Folk’s jersey will be hung on the rafters to be immortalised for all time, and the Cincinnati Bengals organisation and player will celebrate this historic night.
Before the game, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor addressed the media, emphasising that they should celebrate Nick’s career even if they still had a game to win. At halftime, there will be a ceremony to elevate the jersey of the venerable Bengals player.
Zack admitted to having “mixed emotions” about the ceremony night to the media prior to the game, but mainly because it made him realise how rapidly time passes. The previous evening, Zack Taylor and other Bengal icons had supper, during which the head coach said a reflection will be made.
Really conflicted feelings about it.It was absolutely awesome to see so many Bengals lifers attend that.to commemorate the impact on all 305 people down here, our hearts, and our entire organisation,” Zack remarked. “One thing Nick frequently mentioned is how quickly time passes and suddenly you find yourself having a night like this. Obviously, not everyone can have a night like this, which only serves to highlight Nick’s excellence as a cultural steward and the amazing relationships that are formed within this company. It’s strange to see Nick’s name there among the other names when you look at them.
