Although the Detroit Lions’ roster has improved significantly over the past few years, who is their top player?
The Detroit Lions’ roster seems more complete than it has in a very long time going into the 2024–2025 season. They may not have as much “star power” as some other strong teams, but their lineup doesn’t have many obvious flaws either. I’m interested to know what the fans think as we match one player against the other today.
St. Brown is still the best player on our football team, in my opinion, even though Jared Goff won the majority of our offseason accolades. He has a startling drop off from the rest of the receiver room, but that says more about his development as an exceptional player than it does about his teammates. As the fourth-highest graded receiver in the NFL last season, according to PFF, St. Brown has earned the right to be discussed in the same sentence as some of the best receivers in the league.
Over the past 20 years, the Dallas Cowboys have had some awful postseason luck for such a storied NFL team.
I think you can make an argument for guys like Aidan Hutchinson, Jared Goff, or a couple guys on the offensive line, but in the end, no one has been as consistently good as St. Brown, and I believe this is the year that he will take an even bigger step forward and perhaps earn All-Pro honors.
