Patriots CEOs’ Opinions of the 2024 QB Draft Class.
You’ll be happy to hear what comes next if you’re hoping the New England Patriots pick a quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft.
While speaking with Patriots.com at the Senior Bowl, Patriots director of player personnel Matt Groh and college scouting director Camren Williams extolled the virtues of this year’s quarterback class. They provided a peek of what New England is looking for in a prospect, without giving out too much personal information about any one person.
It’s a competent group. Some of these players have played collegiate football for as long as five years. According to the team’s website, Groh stated, “There’s a lot of experience and success with these players, individual and team.” Nothing is more crucial to an organization than team performance. Many of these individuals have done an amazing job leading their team, and now we get to learn more about them personally.
Troy Brown, the offensive assistant for the American Team, directed offensive plays this week, giving the Patriots a chance to work closely with half of the quarterbacks in Mobile, Alabama. Carter Bradley of South Alabama, Michael Pratt of Tulane, Joe Milton III of Tennessee, and Spencer Rattler of South Carolina were on that roster.
Milton and Rattler both met with the Patriots.
The National Team included Sam Hartman of Notre Dame, Bo Nix of Oregon, and Michael Penix Jr. of Washington. The latter two players may be Patriots second-round picks.
Williams stated, “There are a lot of talented quarterbacks.” “.. Within the procedure, there are various categories. In addition to the All-Star games, the combine, Pro Day workouts, interactions, and interviews, there is the fall, when we analyze the film. In that sense, the particular posture is quite crucial. That will play a significant role, but overall, this class of quarterbacks is really skilled.
The Patriots may choose a signal-caller at No. 3 before considering any of the players we named, so it’s unclear if anyone attending the Senior Bowl will even catch their attention.
