ESPN College GameDay will make a stop in Chapel Hill prior to UNC’s basketball match against Duke.
The ESPN College GameDay team revealed the site of next weekend’s event in a startling statement.
The choice of place is quite obvious, so hopefully you picked up on our irony.
Before the UNC basketball team plays the rival Duke Blue Devils, the crew will be live in Chapel Hill. The Dean Smith Center will have hosted this weekly program for the 12th time this coming Thursday.
Naturally, there will be a ton of media coverage leading up to the 261st all-time Carolina-Duke game, which is set to begin on February 3 at 6:30 PM EST. This encounter marks the first of two confrontations between the fierce rivals this season; the second contest will happen in Durham, just down the road.
Judging from history, it shouldn’t come as a surprise if the ESPN College GameDay team is also in Durham in a few weeks.
Fans are welcome to come, as it is crucial that the Tar Heels’ supporters from UNC basketball turn out in front of the big game. As usual, viewers are welcome to bring signs to display; we’ll have to wait and see who takes home the trophy for the most inventive sign displayed during the program!.
