Early ’24 Draft Boards Ranked LSU WR Malik Nabers higher than Ohio State’s dynamic star.

The discussion around receivers Malik Nabers and Marvin Harrison Jr. has heated up as the NFL Draft draws closer.

Regarding who the best receiver in the 2018 NFL Draft is, Malik Nabers and Marvin Harrison Jr. have both been at the center of the discussion. Long regarded as the class’s best receiver by a wide margin, Harrison Jr. appears to be indistinguishable from other players, according to several NFL evaluators. Might there be a shake-up at wide receiver on selection night given that some evaluators rank Nabers higher than Harrison Jr.?

Malik Nabers, a wide receiver for LSU, is closing the gap on Ohio State Buckeyes star Marvin Harrison Jr. before the draft.

With nearly every NFL team preparing for free agency and the draft, plenty of players have seen their stock change drastically over the last few weeks. One player in particular has moved up the positional rankings to almost the top of the receivers. LSU Tigers star receiver Malik Nabers has had an up and down career with the Tigers, but the last two seasons in particular have been exceptional.

This past season, Nabers finished the year with 89 receptions, 1569 receiving yards, and 14 touchdowns while averaging 17.6 yards per reception. Nabers led the FBS in receiving yards before announcing his inevitable exit from the football program and into the upcoming draft. While Nabers had himself a collegiate leading year, there has been another name  at receiver garnering plenty of attention.

Marvin Harrison Jr, the Ohio State star and son of former NFL Legend Marvin Harrison, has long been considered the top receiver in his draft class. The question for Harrison Jr had never been if he was going to dominate, but rather when would he. Over the last two seasons, Harrison Jr has recorded 2474 yards and 28 touchdowns, but is that enough to solidify himself as the top receiver?
