“YOU ARE THE WORST COACH I EVER MET” Star player disparaging Nebraska Cornhuskers Head Coach Matt Rhule…

After Nebraska’s defeat, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders lashes out at Matt Rhule for showing “disrespect.”

With a dominant victory over Nebraska at home to start the season 2-0, Deion Sanders isn’t the only one bringing receipts. Shedeur Sanders, the quarterback for the Cornhuskers, is now defending his father by making some scathing remarks against Matt Rhule, the head coach.

Sanders, the younger, claimed that remarks made by Rhule that seemed to be critical of Prime’s methods for rebuilding the team and promoting the CU program nationally provided the Buffaloes team a little additional energy before the game.

After the game, Sanders told reporters, “The coach said a lot of stuff about my pops and about the program, but now, he wants to act nice.”

You detested another man, so I don’t respect that. Don’t do that, please. It was merely that their program and they were no longer respected at all. Although I enjoy playing against Tony White, their defensive coordinator, there isn’t much respect because Rhule was the one who originally treated us disrespectfully.”

Sanders mentioned that Rhule’s remarks did not specifically mention Colorado, but the coach did express disapproval of teams who rely too much on the transfer portal and use “hype” to establish their brand.

“I’ve heard from other schools that they are eager for today to arrive at the transfer gate and to go outside. Let me tell you, I’m excited to coach my men,” Rhule declared in the offseason. “This team out here is all that’s on my mind right now. Nobody else.”

He went on, “You’ll note that all of the videos we post—which I’m pleased to post—always include us at work. We never speak in them. The basis of [this] program is labor. The foundation is not hype.”

Despite the lack of excitement, Nebraska suffered a 36-14 defeat at Colorado, in part because of several poor decisions that the offense and Sanders capitalized on.

With two touchdown throws and 393 yards passing in the end, Sanders’ overall aerial yardage and completion percentage came to 903 yards and 78 percent.
